The Alton Police Department is investigating a fatal residential fire that occurred on February 3 within the city limits of Alton, Missouri. After firefighters brought the blaze under control, emergency personnel located the homeowner, 69‑year‑old Robert “Louie” Combs, deceased inside the residence.
Police Chief Rusty Warren extended condolences to Combs’ family and thanked the Alton Fire Department, the Oregon County Sheriff’s Office, emergency medical crews, and all assisting agencies for their swift and professional response.
