Grovespring, MO. – Two men from the area have become seriously injured following a collision on Highway 5 just North of Grovespring, MO.
A 2000 GMC Sierra was being driven Southbound by David Collier, 40 of Lebanon, when it crossed the centerline in the roadway and struck the front of a 2005 Kenworth Semi. The Kenworth was being driven by Jerry Friend, 71 of Hartville, MO.

Friend was wearing his safety device, but Collier was not. Both men were seriously injured and had to be transported for treatment. Friend was taken to Cox South in Springfield, and Collier to Regional Health Systems in Lake of the Ozarks.
Both vehicle were totaled in the incident.
