A Mountain Grove man and woman were seriously injured Thursday night when their motorcycle struck a deer in northern Wright County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 8:20 p.m. on Highway E, about ten miles north of Norwood. Troopers report a 2018 Indian motorcycle was traveling south when it hit a deer, ejecting both occupants.
The driver, a 42‑year‑old man from Mountain Grove, and his 41‑year‑old female passenger were not wearing helmets. Both suffered serious injuries. The passenger was taken by TCMH Ambulance to Cox South in Springfield, while the driver was transported by Mercy Ambulance to the same hospital.
