The Licking Wildcats played South Calloway for the class 3 state championship in high school baseball yesterday. Two rock solid high school baseball teams went for the state crown. Licking’s season record was 26-6 and South Calloway was 24-7. Miscues in the bottom of the second inning for South Calloway allowed Licking to score three times, and that was all the run support Keller Davis starting pitcher for the Licking Wildcats needed as Licking wins the class 3 state championship game 3-1 over South Calloway.
The STL Cardinals got a couple days rest, but the Cardinals are back in action tonight to face the Pittsburgh Pirates with more on tonight’s match up here is your redbird update.
