West Plains Crash Seriously Injures Motorcycle Rider

West Plains, MO. – The rider of a motorcycle is in serious condition in Springfield after a vehicular accident near West Plains, MO.

Trooper Hogan of the Missouri State Highway Patrol was the assigned investigator of the crash. The report reflects that the time of the crash was 3:30pm, and the location was on Missouri Route 14.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash: a Dodge Ram 2500 moving Eastbound, and a Harley Davidson motorcycle moving Westbound. The driver of the motorcycle, Adam Appel, a 41-year-old Drury resident, crossed the center of the roadway and struck a towed unit on the Dodge Ram.

Appel was not wearing a safety device and suffered serious injuries in the event. The severity of his wounds necessitated air ambulance transport to Cox South in Springfield.
