Licking, MO. – A driver from Licking has been seriously injured following an accident on Saturday afternoon.
This weekend crash was investigated by Master Sergeant D.B. Pounds of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G.
A Jeep Wrangler was being operated in Texas County along Highway 32, two miles West of Licking. The Westbound vehicle went off the left side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected on reentry, causing them to leave off the right side of the road. The vehicle then hit a fence and overturned, and the driver was ejected. The time of the crash was 6:35pm.
The driver was identified as Regina Vestal, 53 of Licking. Vestal was not wearing a safety device and suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident. She was taken by ground ambulance to Mercy in Springfield for treatment.
