Marion County Sheriff’s Office Weekly Report: Week Ending May 2

Marion County, AR — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly activity report for the week ending May 2, 2025, detailing a steady pace of law enforcement duties and ongoing investigations across the county.

Deputies responded to a total of seventy-eight (78) calls for service throughout the week. Among these were five (5) wellness checks and four (4) domestic incidents, underscoring the department’s continued commitment to community safety and welfare.

Law enforcement efforts led to two (2) misdemeanor arrests and three (3) felony arrests, with deputies also assisting in or investigating six (6) motor vehicle accidents. A total of twenty-three (23) incident reports were completed during the reporting period.

Court-related duties remained active as deputies provided ten (10) hours of bailiff duty.

The investigative division had a busy week, opening one (1) death investigation and conducting seven (7) interviews related to ongoing cases. In addition, one (1) investigative conference was held with the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney to discuss legal proceedings and case developments.

At the Detention Center, eighteen (18) inmates were booked, twenty-three (23) were released, and the week ended with a jail population of thirty-six (36) inmates.
