According to school officials, Montgomery’s deep understanding of athletics, paired with her commitment to small-school values, made her a standout candidate for the position.

“She brings a wealth of experience and a strong appreciation for the close-knit, family-oriented environment that defines schools like Dora,” a district representative said.

Montgomery and her husband, Greg, have two sons, Landon and Ryan. She said her family is looking forward to becoming involved in the Dora community.

She will succeed Coach Perkins and plans to build on the program’s current foundation while continuing to promote growth and excellence among student-athletes.

Montgomery is set to begin her duties ahead of the upcoming school year.
