Dollie is not a service animal, but she is a trained and certified therapy pet who has made a profound impact on countless lives. Rescued at just one year old by John and Susie Kenslow, Dollie began her journey with a strong foundation, thanks to Steve and Dora Declue, who gave her a wonderful start. Inspired by a dream to transform Dollie into a therapy dog, Susie Kenslow began training Dollie with Complete Canine in West Plains, and Dollie excelled beyond expectations.
Today, Dollie visits hospitals, schools, libraries, and more, providing comfort to those in need. She is a regular visitor at the OZH Cancer Treatment Center, where her mom, Susie, works. With her gentle demeanor and joyful spirit, Dollie has become a beloved companion to many, especially children, who love reading to her, cuddling, and sharing their stories.
But Dollie isn’t just about work — when she’s off-duty, she enjoys a playful, adventurous life. Whether she’s chasing tennis balls, swimming in the lake, napping with her fur siblings Daisie (7) and Tinky (8), or chatting with the neighbor pups, Dollie knows how to enjoy life.
