The St. Louis Cardinals were unable to complete a home sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers because of a 7-3 loss at Busch Stadium yesterday. The Cardinals allowed three runs in the second inning and trailed the rest of the way. Alec Burleson and Willson Contreras each had a pair of hits and an RBI in the losing effort, while Michael McGreevy was charged with his first loss after surrendering four runs on eight hits in six innings. St. Louis is in second place in the NL Central at 36-and-29. Andre Pallante starts for the Cardinals against the Blue Jays tonight.
