Robert (Nick) Heavrin was presented the 50-year Edward H. Stoll Award from Tom Olsen OPL National Weather Service Springfield, Mo.
Nick started volunteering to take daily precipitation readings in Aug of 1974 at the Saint Charles Mission in Pomona Missouri. Nick remains very active in his community and works as the Emergency Management Director Chief for the city of Mountain View Missouri. Over the past 50 years Nick has taken over 18,000 daily observations.
