Man Charged with DWI, Leaving the Scene and More After Accident

On July 11th, John Richardson did allegedly operated a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado while in an a impaired condition. While operating the motor vehicle, Richardson was involved in a traffic collision, during which he struck a utility pole and a residential structure located on Jackson Street, in the City of West Plains, causing property damage estimated at approximately $1,975.00.

Following the collision, Richardson left the scene of the incident on foot without reporting the accident or providing identifying information, as required by law. The defendant was subsequently apprehended and, upon questioning by law enforcement, admitted to operating the motor vehicle at the time of the collision and to the prior consumption of alcohol and narcotics.
