Southern Missouri Technical Institute (SoMoTech) in West Plains, MO invites community members, prospective students, and families to attend its upcoming open house event, “Showcase Night,” taking place on March 31, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at its
campus located at 407 W. Thornburgh St. in West Plains.
This interactive event is designed to give attendees a firsthand look at SoMoTech’s hands-on training programs by seeing the students in action, meeting program instructors, and exploring potential career pathways. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the facility, view advanced training equipment, and ask questions about program offerings and admissions for high school and adult students.
“Our goal with Showcase Night is to connect with the community and provide a welcoming
space for individuals to explore their future,” said Dr. Josh Cotter, the SoMoTech Director.
“Whether you’re a high school student planning your next step or an adult looking to start a new career, SoMoTech has opportunities to help you succeed.”
SoMoTech offers training in areas such as automotive, healthcare, construction/manufacturing, and hospitality. Local students, families, and community members interested in career training are encouraged to attend and discover the wide range of educational options available.
