An accident occurred just after midnight in Douglas County 2.5 miles west of Ava on County Road 500.
A 17-year-old juvenile from Ava traveled off the south side of the roadway in a 2008 Honda Odyssey and struck a tree. The driver was uninjured according to the crash report, two passengers, a 17-year-old juvenile from Mansfield and a 18-year-old from Ava were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of minor injuries.
