Two people were seriously injured Saturday evening after a pickup ran off Highway 72, six miles southwest of Centerville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 5:40 p.m. when a 2026 Jeep Gladiator traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck two trees, slid, and overturned.

The driver, a 48‑year‑old man from Ellington, and a 39‑year‑old female passenger from Centerville were both not wearing seat belts and suffered serious injuries. Air Evac transported both to Barnes‑Jewish Hospital.
