A 29‑year‑old Essex man is being held on a 24‑hour hold after Oregon County authorities arrested him Saturday afternoon on multiple felony drug charges.
According to the report, Amber D. Prewett was taken into custody around 3:14 p.m. and is facing two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, along with a felony charge of delivery or possession of a controlled substance inside a county jail. Prewett is also charged with felony tampering with evidence.

Additional misdemeanor charges include driving while revoked—second or third offense—unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, no seat belt, and littering.
Prewett was booked into the Oregon County Jail.
