The National Weather Service in Springfield has announced that current projections suggest we could be seeing more than just a little rain over the next few days; it could include thunderstorms and localized flooding.
Highest areas of flooding concern lie in Shannon, Texas, and Wright Counties, where 2 to 3 inches of rain could fall within a 24 hour period. Most of the rest of the listening area is expected to receive 1 to 2 inches in the same time. In addition, there exists a small chance of severe thunderstorms within the Ozarks tonight and into tomorrow.

All of this comes off the back of dry conditions leading to more burn bans in the area, as drought conditions continue to worsen.
