Van Buren, MO. – A man from Van Buren is facing multiple felony charges after an illicit relationship with one minor, and the abuse of another came to light.
The probable cause statement, filed on November 16th, outlines a series of events as early as February of this year that Kenneth Crawford, born 1989 of Van Buren, was having a sexual relationship with a minor, victim 2, and abused another minor, victim 1, heavily in the Winona area.
Multiple instances of reports are listed on different dates, with victim 2 having given birth to a child that Crawford claims was his, which was cofnirmed via a nurse with Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
The Carter County Sheriff’s Office then took Crawford into custody on charges of felony 2nd Degree Statutory Rape, and felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Engaging in Sexual Conduct Under 17. Crawford’s bond was set at $150,000 cash or surety.
