A local Sergeant of the Missouri State Highway Patrol has received a promotion and will now be leaving the area and moving to Jefferson City.
Effective December 1st, Sergeant Adam Johnson will be taking the role of lieutenant among the Highway Patrol, and will be transfering to General Headquarters in the state capitol as a result.

Johnson has been serving in Troop G since 2014, but has been with the Patrol since 2009. He moved from being a patrolman to a corporal, and finally most recently a sergeant, serving in a variety of locations and duties within Troop G.
