WEST PLAINS, Mo- The State Historical Society of Missouri (SHSMO) has announced new members on its Board of Trustees, including the election of Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Chancellor Zora Mulligan.
The announcement was made at SHSMO’s annual meeting on Saturday, Nov. 22. The meeting was hosted by Senator Roy Blunt, the outgoing president of the board of trustees.
“I am honored to be appointed to this important board, and I look forward to supporting the society’s efforts to tell the stories of the state, especially of the Ozarks,” said Chancellor Zora Mulligan.
Mulligan will serve as a trustee for a three-year term, including the next two years on the executive committee.
Appointed as MSU-WP’s Chancellor in July 2025, Zora Mulligan has previously served as Executive Vice President for Missouri State University, Commissioner of Higher Education for the State of Missouri, University of Missouri Chief of Staff, Missouri Community College Association Executive Director and Assistant Attorney General (MSU-WP photo)
