West Plains Man Arrested After Traffic Stop Revealed Drugs, Firearm

West Plains, MO. – A West Plains man is facing multiple felony charges after a traffic stop revealed the presence of drugs and a firearm, and he attempted to flee arrest.

The probable cause statement on this case outlines that this event happened on December 18th around 7pm, when Elijah Patterson, 37 of West Plains was pulled over near Peace Valley for failure to maintain the right half of the roadway.

A K9 was used to air sniff the vehicle, who then alerted. Patterson then attempted to flee after admitting to be a felon in ownership of a firearm, and was taken into custody in the attempt.

17 grams of meth were also found as a part of the investigation.

Patterson faces felony charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
