The community service work was conducted under the supervision of Program Coordinator Brian Watson and focused on a variety of projects aimed at supporting public facilities, nonprofit organizations, and local services.

Officials noted that the community service program is designed to allow eligible inmates to work off fines while giving back to the communities they serve.

“The program provides a meaningful opportunity for participants to take responsibility and contribute positively while supporting local organizations,” Simpson said.

The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office thanked participating agencies and community partners for their cooperation and support of the program.
