The next session in the Small Farm Series will focus on getting started with chickens, offering practical guidance for anyone interested in raising their own flock. The class will cover the full process—from caring for young chicks to managing productive layer and meat birds—making it a useful introduction for beginners and a helpful refresher for current poultry owners.
The workshop will be held Tuesday, March 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Howell County Extension Office. Cost is $5 per person.
