An 18‑year‑old Winona man was killed Sunday morning in a two‑vehicle crash on Highway 19, six miles south of Winona.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the northbound 2005 Yamaha V‑Star motorcycle he was operating struck a southbound 2023 Ford ambulance as it was making a left turn around 8:38 a.m. The rider, who was wearing a safety device, was pronounced dead at 9:10 a.m. at the scene by Shannon County Coroner Allen Ford.

The ambulance driver, a 32‑year‑old man from West Plains, was not reported injured. The motorcycle was totaled and towed from the scene.
Troop G notes this is the troop’s fifth fatality of the year, compared to six at this time in 2025.
