Rapid swings back and forth between hot and cold temperatures and a general lack of moisture in the Ozarks, combined with consistent winds in recent days will ensure that increased fire risks will persist over the next few days.

Fire risks are high today, will drop somewhat tomorrow, and will increase even more on Thursday.
Outside burning is discouraged during this time, and as always, residents are asked to observe fire prevention methods, such as to avoid parking on dry grass, properly extinguishing cigrettes, and to check trailers for dragging chains.
