A Mount Vernon man was moderately injured Saturday when his motorcycle struck another bike on MO‑A at Luck Road in Shannon County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers report the crash happened at 11:15 a.m. when a westbound 2019 Honda XR650L, driven by the 40‑year‑old man, slowed down. A 2021 Kawasaki KLX300, ridden by a 55‑year‑old woman from Centerton, Arkansas, was also traveling westbound when the Honda struck the Kawasaki from behind.

The Honda rider, who was wearing a safety device, suffered moderate injuries and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The Kawasaki rider was not reported injured.
