Marion County Sheriff’s Office Updates Public on Ongoing Mail Theft Investigation

Yellville, AR – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office has announced progress in an ongoing mail theft investigation, with deputies actively working to return stolen mail to victims across the county. Sheriff Gregg Alexander confirmed that approximately 108 pieces of stolen mail, affecting 31 victims, have been recovered from a suspect’s vehicle.

The investigation began after deputies discovered stolen mail in a suspect’s possession. The suspect is currently in custody in Baxter County, pending the filing of formal charges in Marion County. While the suspect’s identity has not been released, the investigation is ongoing, and additional details are expected to be provided as the case develops.

Marion County deputies have begun the process of returning recovered mail to affected residents.
