Sharp County Reports Community Service Efforts and Weekly Arrests

Sharp County, AR – The Sharp County Sheriff’s Department has released its weekly report highlighting both community service achievements and recent incarcerations.

From June 8 to June 14, 2025, the county recorded a total of 328 community service hours completed under the direction of Community Service Coordinator Brian Watson. Participants in the program contributed to various public service projects at Tri County Recycling, Cherokee Village SID, the Sharp County Fairgrounds, and the Sharp County Courthouse.

The inmate community service initiative is designed to allow qualifying individuals to work off fines while providing valuable assistance to the county. Sheriff’s officials expressed appreciation for the continued positive impact the program has on both the community and the individuals involved.


Weekly Arrest Report: June 9–June 16, 2025

According to Chief Deputy Kevin “Bart” Simpson, the following individuals were booked into the Sharp County Detention Center during the past week. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law:

  • Joshua Bentley, 36, of Hardy – Hold for Other County/State

  • Gary Dienst, 39, of Hardy – Driving While Intoxicated (1st Offense), Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test, Open Container

  • David Donithan, 43, of Williford – Disorderly Conduct, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Public Intoxication

  • James Floyd, 51, of Franklin – Driving While Intoxicated (2nd Offense), Driving Left of Center, Open Container

  • Joseph Herron, 44, of Cherokee Village – Failure to Appear (on Failure to Pay Fines), Possession of Instrument of Crime

  • Jayme Inman, 33, of Cherokee Village – Contempt for Failure to Pay Restitution

  • Christopher Lawley, 27, of Cherokee Village – Public Intoxication

  • Angela Lawson, 51, of McGehee – Violation of Suspension or Probation

  • Eric Maestretti, 56, of Ash Flat – Failure to Appear (Misdemeanor on Failure to Register Vehicle/Expired Tags)

  • Robert Morrow, 47, of Ash Flat – Public Intoxication

  • Christopher Rowe, 50, of Flippin – Failure to Appear (Misdemeanor on No Proof of Liability Insurance)

  • Adam Simpson, 45, of Hardy – Driving or Boating While Intoxicated, No Insurance

  • Raian Son, 30, of Evening Shade – Domestic Battering (3rd Degree)

  • Eddie Taber, 46, of Arkansas – Public Intoxication
