An accident occurred three miles north of Ava on Wednesday morning and left a 73-year-old Ava woman with minor injuries.
The accident happened when the 2022 Ford Escape she was driving struck the rear of a 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by a 66-year-old Mansfield woman, which was pushed into the back of a 2016 GMC Sierra driven by a 43-year-old Macomb man. Both the Corolla and Sierra were stopped for road construction.

The Ava woman was transported by ambulance for treatment of her injuries, the other two drivers were not injured according to the MSHP Crash Report.
