Arkansas Department of Education Launches ACCESS Website to Support Education Reform

The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) has officially launched the new ACCESS website, a comprehensive online hub designed to support the implementation of Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ latest education initiative. The ACCESS legislation, which expands on the LEARNS Act, aims to align education from Pre-K through post-secondary to better prepare students for enrollment, enlistment, or employment after graduation.

Available at https://access.ade.arkansas.gov, the website offers information and updates on six core pillars of the ACCESS program: Acceleration, Common Sense, Cost, Eligibility, Scholarships, and Standardization.

“We are excited to launch this new website,” said Dr. Ken Warden, Commissioner of the ADE Division of Higher Education. “Just like the LEARNS site, the ACCESS platform will serve as the central resource for understanding and implementing the new law. As we begin organizing workgroups and developing materials, this site will grow in its reach and usefulness.”

In addition to overviews of each key area, the ACCESS site includes links to the legislation, answers to frequently asked questions, and a directory of Arkansas colleges and universities. A Direct Admissions Portal is also in development and will be added soon.
