Audit Shows Strong Financial Growth and Operational Excellence at TCMH

Texas County Memorial Hospital (TCMH) ended 2024 on a high note with a 5.5 percent increase in total operating revenues, totaling $41,880,547. This growth was highlighted during the hospital’s April board of trustees meeting, where David Taylor, senior manager at Forvis Mazars, presented the annual financial audit. Taylor praised the hospital for its ability to boost revenue while holding expense increases to just 4.5 percent, an especially notable accomplishment considering the financial pressures facing the healthcare industry.

In other developments shared at the meeting, Jerri Crump was officially sworn in for a five-year term on the TCMH Board of Trustees after previously being appointed to a vacancy in 2024. Board officers were also confirmed for the upcoming year, with Jim Perry continuing as chairperson, Ross Richardson as vice-chairperson, and Joleen Durham as secretary.

April Crites, director of quality and risk management, shared improved patient satisfaction scores, particularly in the emergency department, which has seen a 59 percent increase since December 2023. Outpatient ambulatory surgery satisfaction also rose from 87 to 89 percent, boosting the hospital’s top box average to nearly 92 percent.

Additionally, Carla Crews was named as the new Director of Radiology, succeeding Ann Hamilton. Crews brings 30 years of experience to the role, including the last five at TCMH. Chief Executive Officer Bill Bridges and Dr. Kristina Grant traveled to Jefferson City for the 143rd House District Day, where they met with state legislators and the governor to discuss economic development and legislative priorities for Texas County.

The next meeting of the TCMH Board of Trustees is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, at 12 p.m. in the hospital board room.
