On Friday the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested a man from Ava on multiple charges including auto theft.

James A. Porterfield is being charged with Felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Felony Property Damage 1st Degree, Carless and Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Littering, Fail to Wear Seat Belt, No License and No Insurance,
He was transported to the Douglas County Jail.
