Mountain Home, AR. – A woman from Gassville AR. has passed away while attempting to recover from injuries inflicted to her in an accident on June 11th, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.
The time of this crash was 3:18pm and happened in the Northbound lane of State Highway 5 near County Road 793 North of Midway in Baxter County. Conditions are listed as Cloudy and Dry. The driver, Katherine Montroy, 62 of Gassville, crossed the centerline of the roadway and went off the left side, striking a warning sign and a tree.
One passenger, John Montroy, 79 of Gassville is listed as an injured passenger in the accident. Both were taken to Baxter Regional in Mountain Home for treatment, but Katherine later succumbed to her injuries.
The investigating officer of this incident was Trooper Philip Gonten of the Arkansas State Police.
