BBB Break: Timeshare follow-up, social security scams

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Ozark Radio Network and the Better Business Bureau of Southwest Missouri have joined together to offer consumer safety tips, alerts, and warnings in a weekly segment called the BBB Break.

In this week’s episode, News Director Ed Button got an update on a previously discussed timeshare issue and tips on social security scams from BBB Regional Director Stephanie Garland:

The Better Business Bureau is a nonprofit organization that sets and upholds standards for fair business behavior. Most BBB services to consumers are free of charge, including free BBB Business Profiles on more than 5.3 million companies and 11,000 charity reviews. Other services include dispute resolutions, fraud alerts, and educational information on dozen of topics.
