From the Howell County Emergency Management:
Due to extremely dry and low humidity conditions, Howell County Rural Fire Departments and Howell County Emergency Management strongly advise residents not to intentionally burn until at least we receive rain for relief.
If conditions persist and excessive calls for Fire response, a Burn Ban may be issued later based on the drought monitor and other contributing factors.
Our entire listening area is in a drought so please do not burn as this will put unneeded stress on our local fire departments when the fire gets out of hand.
