The Carter County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after a pedestrian was fatally struck early Monday morning on U.S. 60 at J Highway. The incident occurred around 1:50 a.m. on March 2, when the victim was outside a white Ford pulling a camper that had stopped in the right‑turn lane to State Route J.
Deputies requested assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and its crash investigation team, who are now working to determine what led to the fatal collision. Investigators say any additional information from motorists who were in the area at the time could be critical.
Anyone with knowledge of the incident is urged to contact the Missouri State Highway Patrol or the Carter County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Alonzo Bradwell emphasized the importance of community assistance as the investigation continues.
