City of Mountain View Soon Approaching Spring Cleanup

MOUNTAIN VIEW, MO- The City of Mountain View is a month away from its annual Spring Cleanup, taking place during the week of April 20th-24th. The service is provided by residential households in the city that use current trash services only and excludes businesses & landlords.

The city has provided a list of items to be collected on normal trash pick-up day. Note; There is a 2-yeard limit which is equivalent to a level, regular-sized pickup bed.

Items on the list must also be separated into a list of categories below, otherwise it will not be picked up:

  • Regular refuse extra bags or boxed trash
  • Large Items such as furniture, mattresses, wooden pallets, etc.
  • Tree limbs & brush
  • Metal goods including washers, dryers, freon appliances and other related metal materials.
  • Recyclable Items: These should be placed at curb in blue recycle bags (available at Mountain View City Hall for residents to purchase)
  • Tires- Only limited to 4 tires for service pick up
  • Car Batteries
  • Used Oil

The City reminds residents; To protect all workers from serious injury, all broken glass must be boxed and labeled. Small items must be bagged or boxed. The city will not collect any hazardous waste, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, antifreeze, flammable items, etc.
