The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says deputies safely resolved a volatile domestic disturbance involving an intoxicated man who had fired a gun inside a residence.
According to Sheriff B.J. Adler, a woman inside the home was able to escape before deputies arrived and reported that the man remained armed. Investigators later learned the suspect had made statements about engaging in a gunfight with law enforcement.
Deputies responded to the scene and were able to call the man out of the residence, taking him into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is being held pending formal charges. Sheriff Adler said the outcome reflects the training, restraint, and professionalism deputies bring to high‑risk situations.
