Dixon woman arrested on charges of stealing a vehicle and drug possession

West Plains, MO. – A Dixon woman was arrested Monday after being accused of stealing a vehicle.

Kyla Nachelle Pribble, age 33, was arrested on Nov. 27 on the charges of Stealing – Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance and is held in the Howell County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

According to the probable cause statement, deputies were dispatched shortly after noon on Monday for a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim told authorities that he and Pribble had taken his vehicle to Simms Valley Lake to hang out and Pribble stole the vehicle when he stepped out to use the bathroom. He noted that he had not given Pribble permission to take the vehicle.

The vehicle, which was not identified as a car, truck, van, etc. in the PC statement, was recovered later that day at another person’s residence. Police determined the suspect had traded the vehicle for money.

Kyla Pribble was taken into custody at 4:50 p.m. on Monday. Deputies reported finding a used syringe, a plastic bag and a bottle cap containing suspected methamphetamine. The statement reports Pribble as telling authorities the vehicle was stolen from her.
