A 33-year-old man from Thayer sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday around 5:15 p.m. on Highway 19, approximately two miles north of Eminence. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2007 Pontiac G6 swerved to avoid a deer, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike an embankment.
The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene. The driver was transported by private vehicle to Ozark Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
