Fire at Westgate Trailers in Mountain Grove Thursday Night

Last night at approximately 18:30, the fire department was dispatched to a report of heavy smoke coming from West Gate Trailer off Business 60.

The first arriving unit confirmed heavy smoke throughout the building. Mutual Aid from Mansfield Fire Department, Cabool Fire Department and Norwood Community Volunteer Fire Department were called in. Crews were able to gain access to the building and entry crews were able to locate and extinguish the fire. The State Fire Marshals Office was notified and later arrived to begin an investigation.

We would like to thank the fire departments mentioned, MSHP, Wright Co Sheriff Office, Mountain Grove Police Department and Willow Springs EMS for their assistance throughout the fire.

No injuries occurred during the operation and crews made it back to quarters sometime after 22:00. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
