Fordland — Four people were injured, two of them seriously, in a two‑vehicle crash Monday near Fordland.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 60 at Route Z when a 47‑year‑old woman from Ava driving a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox failed to yield and was struck by a 2013 Honda Fit driven by a 68‑year‑old Fordland woman.
Troopers say the Ava driver sustained minor injuries, while the Fordland driver suffered serious injuries. Two passengers in the Honda — a 43‑year‑old man with moderate injuries and a 45‑year‑old woman with serious injuries — are both from West Plains.
All four were transported to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.
