The high heat in the Ozarks continues to persist and even rise; this has resulted in burn bans once again returning to the listening area.
The Arkansas Forestry Division has announced that Fulton, Izard, and Sharp Counties in Arkansas are now officially in a burn ban, as of August 12th. Baxter is currently not affected, but is under an area of “high” fire danger.
There are currently no burn bans active in Missouri, however, the Missouri Department of Public Safety states that drought areas are forming in Oregon County, and each county adjacent to it.
