Gainesville, MO. – A Gainesville man was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 4:30 p.m. on County Road 103, 1.5 miles north of Gainesville.
A southbound Chevy 2500 driven by Darin Evans, age 51, ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned in a concrete culvert. The vehicle suffered moderate damage and Evans received minor injuries.
Evans was charged with Driving While Intoxicated – First Offense and Careless and Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident before being released to medical personnel, according to the online arrest report.
The above charges are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
