STONE COUNTY, Ark. — The Stone County Sheriff’s Office reported a safe and successful Christmas on the Square and Christmas Parade held Saturday, Dec. 6, with festivities wrapping up with only one lighthearted “arrest.”
According to Sheriff Brandon Long, the only individual taken into “custody” during the event was the Grinch, a playful nod to the holiday spirit that provided laughs for attendees. Sheriff Long said the event concluded without incident, and deputies enjoyed participating in the celebration alongside the community.
“Our deputies enjoyed taking part in the holiday fun and sharing the small-town spirit that makes Stone County such a special place to call home,” Long said.
The sheriff’s office also expressed appreciation to the organizers, volunteers, and participants who helped make the annual event a success and said they are already looking forward to next year’s celebration.
Sheriff Long wished residents a Merry Christmas and encouraged everyone to continue enjoying the holiday season safely.
