With Party with a Purpose set for April 10–11, organizers are sharing important details for attendees ahead of the two‑day fundraiser at the West Plains Civic Center.
All activities will take place indoors this year, utilizing the Arena, Exhibit Hall, and Dogwood Rooms. Saturday’s quilt show will be held in the Magnolia Room. Guests may enter through either the east or west main entrances and move freely between spaces.
Festivalgoers can purchase tickets—usable for all paid activities except the cash bar—at the Explore West Plains booth. Tickets will cover food purchases, raffle entries, the Drink and Dice Stroll Around the World, and entry fees for the trivia, jigsaw puzzle, and costume competitions. The booth will also provide printed schedules and event information.
Additional parking will be available in nearby city lots on Dixon and Trish Knight at St. Louis Street, and at East Main and Curry Street near the senior center.
Free activities include admission to the festival and live music, beard contest registration, storytelling with Danette House, the quilt show (fees apply only for entries and People’s Choice voting), and the Preacher Roe memorabilia exhibit. Author David Jerome will be on-site Saturday with signed copies of his Preacher Roe biography available for purchase.
Paid activities benefiting Christos House include taco tasting and voting on Friday, a baked potato and slider bar on Saturday, snack and dessert sales, the cash bar, the Drink and Dice Stroll, trivia and puzzle competitions, the costume contest, and raffle drawings featuring 30 items.
