Ava, MO. – Two people have been injured after a head-on crash near Ava.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol report that this crash happened after the 25-year-old male Ava driver of a Dodge Ram struck a deer in the roadway, which then caused them to cross the center of the road and collide with a Ford Mustang head-on, totaling both vehicles.

The driver of the Dodge received minor injuries, and the driver of the Mustang, a 19-year-old female from Ava received moderate injuries.
Both were then taken to Cox South in Springfield for further treatment.
