The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the weekend. While the majority of the listening area remains as some of the least affected across the region, Some counties will be experiencing it worse than others. This includes Baxter, Fulton, Sharp, Izard, Oregon, Ozark, and Ripley Counties.
On Sunday and Monday in particular, Oregon and Ripley Counties should be aware that a good chunk of their area will be under a 4/4 extreme heat risk.
As a last note, the southern Missouri, Northern Arkansas Ozarks region is expected to experience a rapid onset drought through the remainder of this month.
