From Houston Schools:
CAMPUS SAFETY UPDATE: Earlier today (Nov. 18, 2025), a firearm was observed inside a student’s vehicle in the school parking lot following a deer hunt. The situation was immediately addressed by the school administration and our school resource officer. The firearm has been safely removed from campus. At this time, there is no threat to students or staff.
As required, the district will follow all applicable Board policies and procedures in responding to this situation.
With deer season underway, we want to remind all students, staff, families, and community members that FIREARMS MUST NOT BE BROUGHT ONTO SCHOOL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME, even if they remain in a vehicle. Please make sure guns are secured at home before coming to school.
The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. If you have any questions, please contact the district office.
