Icy conditions were to blame in three accidents near Mountain View early Wednesday morning on Highway 60.
First, around 3:45 a.m. a 50-year-old Mountain View man sustained minor injuries when the 2016 Peterbilt that he was driving slid off Highway 60 three miles east of Mountain View and overturned. He was taken to Mercy St. Francis in Mountain View for treatment.
Around 5 a.m. a 46-year-old Seymour man slid off Highway 60 four miles west of Mountain View and overturned in a 2026 Freightliner. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains.
A third accident occurred around 5:40 a.m. three and a half miles east of Mountain View when a 22-year-old Mountain View man slid on the ice, turned sideways and was struck in the rear by a 2005 Buick driven by a 41-year-old Birch Tree woman.
The 22-year-old Mountain View driver and a 25-year-old Mountain View man who was a passenger in the Buick both sustained minor injuries and were taken by private conveyance to Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View for treatment. The Birch Tree woman was not injured according to the crash report.
